Volunteer From Home Opportunity

April 10, 2014 Update: Here is the link to PS 150Q’s proposal

Please volunteer!

Thanks to a parent volunteer, PS 150Q is moving forward with a school garden registered with Grow NYC. With the help of Ms. Parache, we are assembling a team consisting of administration, teachers, custodians and parents.

We need one parent to assist in coordinating the grant card. Basically, it’s writing out a plan to determine how much to request in grants for seeds and other portions that require money. It’s a great opportunity to volunteer and be part of this innovative project – and you could do it from home.

For more information, please contact the parent volunteer, Meredith Faltin by email.

But please do it soon – Spring is already here!

Concession Stand Volunteer Call

There’s nothing like a wave of hungry theater goers demanding hot dogs! Be part of the rush – please volunteer for the concession stand for the P.S. 150Q’s performance of “The Little Mermaid.”

It’s a fundraiser that’s lots of fun, supports the arts and feeds the hungry.

Please sign up via Volunteer Spot link below or contact the PTA at ps150qpta@gmail.com

Volunteer Call: Holiday Boutique 2013

It’s shopping time! P.S. 150Q’s annual Holiday Boutique will run at the Annex on December 10th, and the main building from December 11th – 13th.

During recess, students will have the opportunity to shop for holiday items for their loved ones or find something for themselves.

Be a part of this shopping experience for our students and make a difference. Volunteers are welcome for either location.

Scholastic Book Fair

Book Fair Letters 2013 (English & Spanish) PDF

During the week beginning on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, through Friday, November 16, 2013 we are celebrating our annual Spring Book Fair for all students in K through 6th Grade.

Our Book Fair connects students to the current books they want to read in English and Spanish. To help your child find the best books, he or she will visit the book fair at times that will not interfere with classroom instruction. Please look over the (backpacked) Book List with your child. We suggest you provide your child with at least $7.00 for the purchases although lesser priced books are available. For your convenience books may be purchased by check credit or Debit cards. You may also purchase books online at scholastic using the (backpacked) catalog.
