Scholastic Book Fair 2017

Book Fair will be next week –

Monday, November 13, 2017, through Friday, book-fair-2November 17, 2017
Main Building (blue area)
10:00am – 1:30pm.

Our Book Fair connects students to the current books they want to read in English and Spanish. To help your child find the best books, he or she will visit the book fair at times that will not interfere with classroom instruction. Please look over the (backpacked) Book List with your child. We suggest you provide your child with at least $7.00 for the purchases although lesser priced books are available. For your convenience books may be purchased by check, credit, or debit cards. You may also purchase books online at scholastic using the (backpacked) catalog.

There will be a large selection of books and other novelty items available for students to purchase. We encourage you all to stop by and take a look at all the Book Fair has to offer.

We need volunteers!

Would you please donate some of your time for the fair? During recess, students will be strolling in to peruse, shop or add to their “Wish List”, books offered by the Scholastic catalog. We need your help with finding age appropriate books for students who need help and to also help the calculate the cost of their items.

Fire Extinguisher Recall

Recall: Kidde XL Fire Extinguishers

Kidde, in conjunction with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is announcing a voluntary recall to replace certain XL Fire Extinguisher units, because they may lose pressure faster than others due to an off-specification lubricant. This loss of pressure may result in the extinguisher failing to operate when activated. The affected units were manufactured in Mexico between October 2007 and April 2008. Kidde has no record of injuries due to the affected extinguishers.

All fire extinguishers have the potential to lose pressure, and the gauges on the affected units continue to function and will alert you to any pressure loss. Because Kidde is concerned with product quality, we are working voluntarily with the CPSC to replace those affected extinguishers whose gauges are in the red.

This website will help you determine if you have an extinguisher that is affected, and enable you to register for a replacement if your unit qualifies.
