Chess In The Schools – QUEENS Chess Day

Interested having your child play in a Chess tournament?

PS 150Q (in Sunnyside) will be hosting the Chess in the Schools tournament on Saturday, October 28, 2017. It is a FREE event, however registration is required (entries will likely close sooner than usual). This event is open to Public School students from grades K-12. Register Now

Participatory Budget Meeting

The next Participatory Budget Meeting is Tuesday, October 10th at the Woodside Library.

PS 150Q is in need of funding for:

  • new computers for the computer lab
  • an auditorium renovation
  • a playground renovation / upgrade

Please come and support our school. Lets try to get these items voted into the budget. The more participants, the merrier!

Based on last minute interest, The Blackboard Awards / New York Family have extended the deadline to nominate your school or principal or teacher for a Blackboard Award.

Since 2002, Blackboard Awards have been honoring excellence in education in New York City. As they begin their campaign for 2017 they need your help with two things:

The awards cover Public, Private, Parochial and Charter schools at the Nursery, Elementary, Middle and High School Levels.  This program is a foundation of recognizing excellence in NY City schools.
