The Queens Borough President Melinda Katz is inviting parents to her Parent Advisory Board meeting with guest speaker the President of United Federation of Teachers (UFT) Mr. Michael Mulgrew on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 6pm at 120-55 Queens Blvd in Kew Gardens.

The UFT President Mr. Mulgrew will speak on new changes in education that will affect students and teachers regarding the: Common Core, state exams teacher and student evaluations, parent involvement, efforts to improve innovation and academic achievement, new disciplinary actions, Community Learning Schools Initiative, class size matters and teacher training.

The Parent Advisory Board meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss current concerns and future objectives with regards to teachers and education and you will have an opportunity to ask questions during the Q and A.
